A native of Roseland, she is survived by one son, Henry Rutledge of Baton Rouge. The funeral will be Saturday at Mount Canaan Baptist Church, Roseland, at 11 a.m., followed by burial in the church cemetery. N.A. Henry E. Rutledge died on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at 8:05 p.m. at Thibodaux General Medical Center. He was 54, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Chicago. Visitation at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Progress Road, the Rev. G.C. Pierce, pastor, on Wednesday, March 21, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the minister Michael Robinson. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Rutledge of Baton Rouge; two children and their spouses, Sgt. Erick Sr. and Elaine Rutledge of Fort Hood, Texas, and Ericka R. and Jonathan London of Wakefield; mother-in-law, Malinda Jackson of Baton Rouge; uncle, Luther Rutledge Sr. of Macon, Ga.; aunt, Willie Vernon of Amite; and great-aunt, Idella Jones of McComb, Miss.; three grandchildren, Christopher, Erick Jr. and Edrick Rutledge, all of Fort Hood; four sisters-in-law, Doris Ross and husband Joseph of Anchorage, Alaska, Jocelyn Jackson of Zachary, Carolyn Coleman and husband Gerald, and Jacqueline McClendon, all of Baton Rouge; a brother-in-law, Maj. Byron Jackson of Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; and cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, brother-in-law, and aunt, Courtney Boyd.
