She died Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Ochsner Medical Center. She was a resident of Denham Springs since 1969. Margaret was 80, born in Hammond Feb. 28, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Cardinale and one of seven children. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Friday, May 7, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes Saturday, May 8, from 9 a.m. until services in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Don Tuttleton. Interment will take place at Denham Springs Memorial Park. She was married to her war hero, Joseph Dewitt Roux, for 31 years. They had three children, Frank Joseph Roux, Cynthia Roux Roddy and Robert Charles Roux, all of Denham Springs. Margaret was a former employee of TG&Y and Walmart and a member of Christ's Community Church. Her passion was for her five grandchildren. Because of the numerous football, baseball and softball games she attended she was known to many as Maw Maw Roux. She is survived by children, Frank Joseph Roux, Cynthia Roux Roddy, and Robert Charles and wife Helen Ball Roux; grandchildren, Matthew Timothy and Brittany Roux, David Benjamin and Christy Charrier Roux, Jesse Joseph Roux, Katie Elizabeth Roux and Carrie Rebekah Roux; great-grandson, Tyson Matthew Roux; and sister, Frances Cardinale Cicet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dewitt Roux; parents, Joseph and Clara Cardinale; son-in-law, Henry Roddy; brother, A.P. Cardinale; and sisters, Mamie Atkins, Annie Phillips, Josephine Kendall and Nora Cardinale.
