"SAM" A resident of Jackson and born in Hammond, he died at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. He was 74. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Charlie Landry. Burial in Hammond. Survived by his wife, Catherine Leet Rosa, Jackson; two daughters, Sybil F. Denard, Ethel, and Connie R. Cashio, Baton Rouge; two sons, Tony E. Rosa, Hondo, Texas, and Damien "Duke" Falcon, California; three sisters, Theresa Thibodaux, Hammond, Sarah St. John, Destrehan, and Marylee R. Bernard, Golden Meadow; six grand- children; and a great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Rosalee Lobue Rosa; three brothers, Mike, Joe and Vito Rosa; and two sisters, Angelina English and Vita Manguno. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, St. Francisville, and McManus Volunteer Fire Department and an honorary deputy of East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office. ***************************************************************************
