NORRED, HELEN ELIZABETH 
Helen Elizabeth Norred, 87, of Hammond, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at
Belle Maison Nursing Home. She was born Monday, Feb. 18, 1918, in Albany,
the daughter of the late Dennis Pope McLaughlin and the late Lena
Dominguez. She was a homemaker. She is survived by two daughters, Rose
Marie Norred of Townsend, Tenn., and Brenda Norred Pierce of Ponchatoula;
three sons, Arthur P. "Mack" Norred Jr. and Dennis B. Norred, both of
Springfield, and Randolph Wayne "Randy" Norred of Ponchatoula; sister, Ruth
McLaughlin Jones of Greenwell Springs; aunt, Louise Dominguez; 11 grand-
children, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Paris Norred Sr.; parents,
Dennis Pope and Lena Dominguez McLaughlin; and six brothers, Percy, Ralph,
Dennis, Ernest, George and Joseph McLaughlin.  Friends were received on
Saturday, Sept. 3, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Thompson Drive
in Hammond from 9:30 a.m. until graveside service at 10 a.m., officiated by
the Rev. Billie Kennedy. Please send flowers directly to the cemetery.
