NEWCOMB, SONYA STRONG
Sonya Strong Newcomb was born March 6, 1964, and passed away on Saturday, 
April 16, 2011 at her residence. She was 47, a native and resident of 
Amite.  She is survived by her husband, Thomas Newcomb, Amite; 3 daughters, 
Felicia Danielle Cupit and Danny Holden, Amite, Kirstin Renee' Cupit and 
Kevin Harper, Amite, Amber Nicole C. Chadwick and husband Seth, Albany; 
companion, Jimmy Dover, Greensburg; 6 grandchildren, Jessica Elizabeth 
Strickland, Haven Denea' Cupit, Candace Renea' Howell, Cole Alan Chadwick, 
Logan Varnado and Zoe Gray; 2 sisters, Anne Holcomb, Jackson, LA, Rhonda 
Easley Chavers and husband Wayne, Independence; 4 brothers, Ronald E. 
Strong and wife Faye, Albany, Michael Strong and wife Penny, Amite, Robert 
David Easley and wife Sherry, Loranger, Stephan L. Easley, Sr., Loranger.
Preceded in death by Eugene and Mable Strong, Pamela Strong Easley, 
Timothy Wayne Easley and Daniel R. Cupit, Jr.  Visitation at McKneely & 
Vaughn Funeral Home, Amite, Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 
Celebration of Life Services at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel.
