McKEY, CARRIE ALENE OWENS
Carrie Alene "Tye" "Nani" Owens McKey, 101 years old of Ponchatoula, 
Louisiana, died January 14, 2011, in Pontchartrain Health Care Centre.  She 
was born on July 16, 1909, in Centreville, Mississippi, daughter of the 
late Moffett H. and Mary Eliza Helmer Owens.  Surviving are her daughter,
Carrie Aleen McKey Cole, great-granddaughters, Jamie Leigh Cole, Sarah
Pierre, Hannah Fuhrmann, Nikki Fuhrmann, and a great-great-granddaughter, 
Alexis Pierre.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Ralph 
McKey, grandson, Kenny Wayne Cole Jr., sisters, Annette Collier, Johnnie 
McCearley, Emma Furey, Bea Balliviero, and Frances Whetstone, brothers, 
Laurence "Buddy" Owens, Winfred Owens, and D.G. Owens.  Friends will be 
received on Friday, January 21, 2011 from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm and on 
Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & 
Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula.  Services will be held in the funeral home 
chapel in Ponchatoula, on Saturday, at 1:00 pm.  Interment will follow in 
the Ponchatoula Cemetery.  An on-line guest book is available at

MCKEY, RALPH
A resident of Ponchatoula, he died Monday, June 7, 1999, at Lakeview
Regional Medical Center, Mandeville. He was 90 and a native of Centreville,
Miss. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 6 p.m. to
10 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at the
funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Ray
Waldo. Interment in Ponchatoula Cemetery. Survived by wife of 66 years,
Carrie Owens McKey, Bedico; a daughter, Carrie Aleen McKey Cole, Bedico; a
grandson, Kenneth Wayne Cole, Bedico; a great-grandchild, Jamie Leigh Cole;
and a brother, Edward McKey, Woodville, Miss. Preceded in death by five
sisters, Selma Dooley, Maude Havard, Pearl Owens, Effie Smith and Doris
McKey; two brothers, Elbert and Henry McKey; and parents, Dunck and
Elizabeth McCraine McKey.
