He was a native and a resident of Independence. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday. Religious service at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, at 1 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Paul McDuffie. Entombment in Colonial Mausoleum, Independence. He is survived by his daughter, Rosalie Miles and her husband, E.D. Miles, Zachary; two grandsons, Eddie Miles, Zachary, and Scott Miles and his wife, Lisa Miles, Baton Rouge; five great-grandchildren, Garrett Miles, Luke Miles, Morgan Miles, Eve Miles and Brooke Miles; five sisters, Stephana Lashouto, Metairie, and Mary Whiddon, Jennie Lamonica, Susie Lamonica and Sarah Maniscalco, all of Independence; and a brother, Nurphy Maniscalco, Kenner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Maniscalco; parents, Tony and Rosalie Dana Maniscalco; a sister, Josie Maniscalco; and two brothers, Kelly Maniscalco and Tony Maniscalco.
