Coleman Johns Jr., 86, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003. He was a native of Hammond and was a retired electrician. He is survived by three daughters, Carlyn Barnes of Sonta Maria, Calif., Marilyn Glears of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Shirley Ann Poindexter of Campbell, Ohio; and one sister, Lillie Gray of Hammond. He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral was held today. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond.
