ISTRE, ALFRED 
He died at 3 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center,
Hammond. He was 76, a native of Lake Charles and a resident of Tangipahoa.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Visitation at McKneely
Funeral Home, Amite, from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday. Graveside service at
Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Tickfaw, at 1 p.m. Thursday. Survived by
his wife, Mary Ruth Tullos Istre, Tangipahoa; seven children, three
brothers and three sisters. Preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and
Ora Istre.
