SR. Madisonville -- Charles W. Huffman Sr., 54, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at Canon Hospice, Jefferson. He was a native of Independence and a longtime resident of Independence. Survivors include his sons, Charles W. Huffman Jr. of Marrero and A.J. Huffman of Metairie; his brothers, Kenneth Huffman and William Rainey, both of Amite, Shelby and Robert Rainey, both of Denham Springs; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Huffman; his parents, Rosalene Rainey, Shelby Rainey Sr. and Emmitt Charles Huffman; two brothers, William Eugene Huffman and Randy Rainey; and one sister, Rosemary Rainey. The funeral was this afternoon, and burial was at Natalbany Cemetery, Independence. Independence - William Eugene "Gene" Huffman Sr., 52, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He is survived by two daughters, Laura Huffman of Mississippi and Sabrina Huffman of New Orleans; two sons, William Huffman Jr. of Houston and Andrew Huffman of Baker; five brothers, Charles Huffman of Independence, Kenneth Huffman and William Rainey, both of Amite, Shelby and Robert Rainey, both of Denham Springs; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Emmitt Huffman; mother and stepfather, Roselean and Shelby Rainey; a brother, Randy Rainey; and one sister, Rosemary Rainey. Visitation will be today at Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until Johnny Stewart conducts the funeral at 10.
