HOLLIS, AUSTIN MARTIN
Ponchatoula - Seaman Austin Martin Hollis, 32, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, 
in Marshall, Texas.  A native of Hammond, he is survived by one son, Lance
Ashmore of Patterson; his parents, Guy Martin and Marsha Gail Vampran
Hollis of Ponchatoula; one brother, Marshall Hollis of White, Ga.; one
sister, Michelle H. Sharp of Pumpkin Center; and maternal grandmother, Nell
Vampran of Hammond.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather,
Vincent Vampran; and paternal grandparents, B.A. Hollis, Vivian Webb Hollis
and Bessie Elmore Hollis.  Visitation will be today at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 to 10 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 a.m.
until the funeral at 10. The Rev. Charles Bigner will conduct the service.
Burial will be in Trinity Baptist Cemetery, Pumpkin Center.

HOLLIS, BESSIE HOLLIDAY
A resident of Hammond, she died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, at Belle Maison
Nursing Home. She was 85 and a native of Wadesboro. Visitation at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 
8 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Interment in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery, Pumpkin Center. Survived by
her husband, Buren A. Hollis Sr., Hammond; two stepdaughters, Marie
Kinchen, Thibodaux, and Janet Calmer, Pell City, Ala.; and a stepson, Buren
A. Hollis Jr., Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by her parents, John and
Nettie Holliday; three brothers and two sisters.

HOLLIS, BUREN ALRIGE
A resident of Thibodaux, he died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at Thibodaux
Regional Medical Center. He was 88, a native of Brookhaven, Miss., and a
former resident of Hammond. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home
chapel, Hammond from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Interment in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery, Pumpkin Center. Survived by 
two daughters, Marie Kinchen, Thibodaux, and Janet Calmer, Pell City, Ala.;
two sons, Buren A. Hollis Jr., Baton Rouge, and Guy Hollis, Ponchatoula; 13
grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first
wife, Mattie Curry Hollis; second wife, Vivian Webb Hollis; wife, Bessie
Holliday Hollis; a daughter, Joyce Taylor; a grandchild, Michael Lewis; and
a sister, Almanza Ballard.
