She was 87 and a native of St. Helena Parish. Visitation at Geisler Funeral Home Chapel, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services at First Presbyterian Church of Hammond at 3 p.m. Sunday, conducted by Dr. D. Cameron Murchison. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond. Survived by two daughters, Anna Herbert Farrell, Springfield, Va., and Joan Herbert Murchison, Decatur, Ga.; a son, Jack Durnin Herbert, River Ridge; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Farley Herbert. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hammond. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Hammond or Ginger Ford Habitat for Humanity. ***************************************************************************
