ENSIGN, NANCY MILLER
A resident of Roseland, she died at 3:20 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at St. 
Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington. She was 70 and a native of St. Helena 
Parish. Visiting was at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. 
Visiting at the funeral home, 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. 
Tuesday. conducted by the Rev. Vernon Wolfe. Interment in Arcola-Roseland 
Cemetery, Arcola. Survived by two daughters, Carol Ryan Treigle, Zachary, and 
Nancy Patricia Ryan Chapman, New Iberia; two sons, Edwin K. Ensign III, Roseland, 
and Matthew Edwin Ensign, Hillsdale; three sisters, Betty Ricks, Tangipahoa, and 
Eva Barcia and Angie Miller, both of Baton Rouge; 14 grandchildren and seven 
great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Edwin K. "Buster" Ensign Jr.; 
a grandson, Robert Wade Higgins; parents, Maurice Cohn and Cora Jackson Miller; 
and a sister, Mary Alma Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be 
made to any hospice organization.
