DUNAWAY, DONNIE RAY 
A retired employee of The Gaylord Corp. with 43 years of service and a
resident of Bogalusa, he died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at St. Tammany Parish
Hospital. He was 67. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Frances H. Dunaway
of Bogalusa; two daughters, Dee Dee and husband Spike McCullough of
Bogalusa and Julie and husband Deric Drennan of Covington; a son, Blaine
and wife Liz Dunaway of Bogalusa; two brothers, Charles Wayne Dunaway of
Baton Rouge and Terry and wife Polly Dunaway of Gonzales; eight grand-
children, Aric, Claire and Caroline Dunaway, Will, Cort and Meredeth
McCullough, Lauren Pounds and Mia Drennan; his mother-in-law and father-
in-law, Maggie and Pinkey Erwin of Franklinton; a brother-in-law, Kenneth
and wife Audrey Hymel of Ponchatoula; and numerous other relatives.
Preceded in death by his parents, T.C. and Helen Dunaway. Visitation was at
Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home chapel, 216 Alabama Ave., Bogalusa, from 6 p.m.
to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21. Visiting in the funeral home chapel from noon
until religious service at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, conducted by the
Rev. J.T. Wright. Interment in Hillview Memorial Gardens. He was a member
of Superior Avenue Baptist Church.

DUNAWAY, DOROTHY A. 
A resident of Kentwood, she died at 12:05 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at
Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite. She was 70 and a native of Shreveport.
Visiting at New Jerusalem Pentecostal Church, Bolivar, from 4 p.m. to 
10 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until religious
services at 2 p.m. Interment in New Jerusalem Cemetery, Bolivar. Survived
by three daughters, Lorraine Diddon of Bolivar, Frances Anderson of
Vicksburg, Miss., and Anita Rachal of Roseland; three sons, Robert Jones of
Amite and Tom Jones and Richard Strange, both of Kentwood; four sisters,
Betty Willis and Alice Anderson, both of Longview, Texas, and Jean Wyatt
and Helen McMichael, both of Shreveport; 24 grandchildren and 26 great-
grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Estus Dunaway. Pallbearers
will be Josha Davidson, Pete Weathersby, Dan Barnett, Robert Anderson Jr.,
Jeremy Matheny and Jeffrey Barnett. McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, in
charge of arrangements.

DUNAWAY, PEARLY 
A resident of Greensburg, she died at 8:21 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at
North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 81 and a native of Lena, Miss.
Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday and after 10 a.m. Sunday. Religious services at the funeral home
at 2 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Chris Watkins. Interment in New
Zion Cemetery, Kentwood. Survived by her husband, Malcolm Dunaway,
Greensburg; four daughters, Lynn Calcote, Jackson, Miss., Linda Young,
Kentwood, and Brenda Shaw and Kathy Guilliams, both of Liberty, Miss.; four
sons, Wilmer Jesse Adams, McComb, Miss., J.C. Adams and Bennie Adams, both
of Greensburg, and Dannie Adams, Osyka, Miss.; a sister, J.D. Prestiage,
Morton, Miss.; 28 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. Preceded in
death by two sons, Cecil Lamar Adams and Jerry Adams; and a grandson,
Shannon Miller.
