A native of Independence, he is survived by two daughters, Nina "Sparkie" Sparks and Exie Chandler, both of Saginaw, Mich.; one son, Ronnie Chandler of Saginaw; one sister, Lucille Robertson of Tangipahoa; one brother, W.C. Chandler of Tangipahoa; six grand-children and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Washington and Alma Chandler. The Rev. Willie Sparks will conduct the funeral Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
