He was 71, a native of Independence and resident of Madisonville for 42 years. He was the beloved husband of Mary Louise Talley Candiotto; son of the late Tom and Mary Newman Candiotto; father of Talley Ann Candiotto Darouse; grandfather of Jacob Charles Darouse; father-in-law of Kevin Randall Darouse; brother of Victoria Candiotto Iverstine, Hope Candiotto Estopinol, Faith Candiotto Moreau, Alyne Candiotto Anazalone, Jack Candiotto and the late Victor Candiotto; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc. chapel, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, after 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel. Stephanie Kalil Candiotto, 63, of Independence died Sunday, March 7, 2004 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was born Oct. 18, 1940, in New Orleans. She was the daughter of Emile "Cuz" Kalil Sr. and Dolly Ruth Chase Kalil. She was a public assistant for FEMA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor Candiotto Sr.; and two brothers, Tommy Kalil and Buddy Kalil. She is survived by a daughter and son-in- law, Yvonne and James Church of Summit, Miss.; four stepchildren, Victor Candiotto Jr., Charity Candiotto and Tom Candiotto, all of Tangipahoa Parish and Barbara Candiotto of Waveland, Miss.; three grandchildren, Marvin Christopher Adams, Chase Emerson Adams and Candice Eleanor Church, all of Summit; a special friend and caretaker, Lyndia Williams of Independence; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb, Miss., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until service at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Charles Ray officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tonas Kalil, Raymond Kalil, Tonas Emile Kalil, David Kalil, Darius Kalil, Eddie Kalil and Victor Candiotto Jr. Memorial may be sent to J. J.
