BRECHER, LILLIAN DIETRICH 
A resident and native of Ponchatoula, she died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at
North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 89. Visitation at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and
after 8 a.m. Tuesday. Religious services in the funeral home chapel at 
10 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Wetmore Cemetery. Survived by a daughter,
Janice Gainey, Ponchatoula; a son, Clarence J. Brecher Jr., Ponchatoula; 10
grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her
husband, Clarence J. Brecher Sr.; a son, Vanis Dufrene; a grandson, Timmy
Gainey; and a great-grandchild.

BRECHER, LURLINE NEWMAN 
A resident and native of Ponchatoula, she died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, at
North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 86. Visitation at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday,
Oct. 10. Visiting in the funeral home chapel continues on Tuesday from 
8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Leo
Miller. Interment in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula. She is survived by
two sons, Charles "Pappy" Brecher, Sugarland, Texas, and Kenneth Brecher,
Ponchatoula; daughter, Yvonne Brecher, Ponchatoula; three grandchildren,
Wendy Brecher Dawson, Baton Rouge, Jessica Brecher Wood, Mansfield, Texas,
and Jodi Brecher Pipes, Monroe; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Una
Mae Newman, Houston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace
Brecher; her parents, John and Jessie Case Newman; two brothers, Troey
Newman and Charles Newman; and sister, Marion Sheridan.

BRECHER, VICTORIA ELIZABETH "VICKI" 
A resident and native of Ponchatoula, she died Thursday, March 10, 2005, at
North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 58, born Saturday, June 15,
1946. Survived by her husband, Clarence J. Brecher Jr. of Ponchatoula; a
son, Scott F. Brecher of Kiln, Miss.; a daughter, Paula A. Brecher of
Ponchatoula; two brothers, Melvin Achord of Baptist and Bill Achord of
Houston; two sisters, Sue McCrory of Hammond and Evelyn McMorris of
Ponchatoula; and three granddaughters, Jessica Brecher, Emily Brecher and
Logan Brecher, all of Ponchatoula. Preceded in death by her parents, Alzora
Hawkins Achord and Louis Achord; two brothers, Cecil and Jimmy Achord; and
two sisters, Faye Dodt and Leona Jones. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday, March 11, and from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Saturday, March
12. Burial in Sandhill Cemetery, Ponchatoula.
