BLUM, CHARLES EDWARD
Charles Edward Blum, 89, of Ponchatoula, died Thursday, November 23, 2006 
at his residence. He was born October 28, 1917 in Louisville, Kentucky, son 
of the late Michael and Rose Kienzle Blum. He was a U.S. Marine Corp 
veteran of World War II, and retired designer from Sears. Surviving are his 
wife Edna Ruth Steidtmann Blum and three daughters, Suszanne Galpin, Diane 
Bordelon, and Joanne McCormack; a son, Mark Blum; two sisters, Rosalia 
McPherson, Mary Margaret Hoscila; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in 
death by a son, Michael Blum; granddaughter, Mena Michelle Blum; and two 
brothers John and Lawrence Blum. Friends were received Monday, November 27, 
2006 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral home in Ponchatoula. Services were 
held from the Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Mike Vaughn. 
Interment followed in the Ponchatoula Cemetery. Email condolences to:

BLUM, EDNA RUTH
Edna Ruth Blum, 87 years old of Ponchatoula died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at
Hammond Nursing Home. She was born on Tuesday, January 11, 1921 in South
Bend Indiana.  Surviving are; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Suzanne Galpin and
Ken Galpin, Joanne McCormack and Mike McCormack; daughter, Diane Bordelon;
son & daughter-in-law, Mark and Ana Blum; also survived by 10 grandchildren
and 1 great-grandchild.  She is preceded in death by ; husband; Charles E.
Blum, son; Michael Blum, granddaughter; Mena Michelle Blum, Son-in-law; Eli
Bordelon, daughter-in-law; Sara Blum.  Friends will be received Wednesday,
March 5, 2008, at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula from
10:00 a.m. until services. Services will be held in the funeral home
chapel, Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 1:00p.m.  Interment will follow in the
Ponchatoula Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454.  An on-line Guestbook
