ANDRUS, BERTHA MEAUX 
A resident of Independence, she died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at St.
Tammany Parish Hospital. She was 75 and a native of Crowley. Visiting at
Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday,
and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday. Religious service at Mater Dolorosa
Catholic Church, Independence, at 10:30 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev.
Paul McDuffy. Interment in St. Dominic Catholic Church Cemetery. She is
survived by her husband, Lawrence L. Andrus, Independence; two sons, Glen
J. Andrus, Ferriday, and John Gary Andrus, Baton Rouge; two daughters,
Ellen Motichek, Galvez and Katie Roy, Independence; eight grandchildren;
two great- grandchildren; two sisters, Annabell Alpha, Bunkie, and Elaine
Rock, Henderson, Nev.; and two brothers, W.L. Meaux, Mississippi, and
Chester L. Meaux, Hattiesburg, Miss. She was preceded in death by her
parents, DuprĒ and Opheleau LeLeux Meaux; two sisters, Beulah Buecker and
Nettie Guillot; and three brothers, Hirby Meaux, Robert Allen Meaux and
DuprĒ Meaux Jr.

ANDRUS, CECILE PASTORICK 
A resident of Hammond, she died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, at North Oaks
Medical Hospital, Hammond. She was 102 and a native of Waxia. Visitation at
Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home chapel, Hammond, from 11 a.m. Saturday
until religious service at 1 p.m. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Survived by two daughters, Ethyl Bennett, Hammond, and Heloise Catha,
Amite; and a brother, Frank Pastorick, Batson, Texas. Preceded in death by
her husband, Fred Andrus; parents, Frank and Julia Kimball Pastorick; three
sisters, Odile Hebert, Mim Ryder and Virginia Bordelon; and five brothers,
John Pastorick, Vernon Pastorick, Cecil Pastorick, Willie Pastorick and
Wallace Pastorick.
