ALVAREZ, ALBERTO
Millstone Township, N.J. - Alberto Alvarez, 81, died Friday, March 29,
2002, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. He was a native of
Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, the owner of Alvarez Nursery in Manalapan and
Millstone Township, a member of the Nuserymen's Association and the
Monmouth County Shade Tree Commission, a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana
University and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his
wife, Delia; a son, Victor of Natalbany; a daughter, Milagros "Molly"
Bendick of Millstone; two stepdaughters, Delia and Claudia Herrara; seven
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
first wife, Milagros. The funeral will be Wednesday at Freeman Manalapan-
Marlboro Funeral home, Manalapan, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St.
Joseph's Cemetery, Perrineville.

ALVAREZ, LUIS 
A resident of Hammond, he died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000. He was 78 and a
native of Cuba. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond,
from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday. Religious
services in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by
the Rev. Emmit Perriloux. Entombment in Rose Memorial Mausoleum. Survived
by his wife, Eloina Capote Alvarez, Hammond; a son, Luis Fermin Alvarez,
Natalbany; a sister, Dora Gonzales, Miami; and three grandchildren, Justin
Luis Alvarez, Karlie Danielle Alvarez and Christopher Tyler Alvarez.
Preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Ceferina Cabrera Alvarez. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the
American Diabetes Association, 3101 W. Napoleon Ave., Metairie, LA 70001.
