Boutte' as security are held and firmly bound with I. Madison Wells Governor of the State of Louisiana and to his successors in office in the sum of five hundred dollars for the payment of which will and truly be made they hereby bind themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally. In testimony whereof they have hereunto signed at Opelousas this 18th day of May, 1866. Now the condition of the above obligation is such that where as the above bound Victor Richard has this day obtained license to marry Eugenie Lavergne also of the Parish of St. Landry. Now if there shall hereafter be or appear no legal impediment to the said marriage, then and in that case the above obligation to be null and void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
