CLARENCE LOFTIN of Route 2, Coushatta, died suddenly Monday morning in a local clinic, where he had gone for a check-up. He was 83 years of age. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Holley Springs Methodist Church. Officiating was the REV. W. O. WILLIAMS. A life-long resident of Red River Parish, he was a member of the Clear Springs Baptist Church and a member of the Holley Springs Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his widow, VELVA LOFTIN, two daughters, MRS. HENRY BRITT of Shreveport and MRS. FRED RIGDON of Coushatta; two sons, W. H. LOFTIN of Pleasant hill and H. C. LOFTIN of Coushatta; four sisters, MRS. LEM WOMACK of Hall Summit, MRS. LOUELLA RALEY, MRS. KEET FLETCHER and MRS. ELI ADKINS of Coushatta, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
