M. Verzwyvelt, on Bayou Robert, Rapides Parish, La. on Saturday, Nov. 9, 1907, at 6:40 p. m., Mr. J. T. Nichols (James Turner) aged 88 years, 2 months and 9 days. The deceased was born in Alabama and resided at Hemphill, Western Rapides Parish, for many years. He was a soldier in the Indian War, also a Confederate Veteran. He leaves a wife, six children, most of whom reside in Rapides. He resided on Bayou Robert for about three weeks previous to his death. A great many friends will mourn the death of this old and respected citizen.
