 When Co..B left Ouachita Parish headed for Richmond, VA they were
 an independent Company with John McEnery as their Cpt. Later a 
 few months after arriving in Richmond they were formed into a 
 battalion with other Companies from North Louisiana and one 
 Company from Natchez, MS.  John McEnery was elected to the rank 
 of Lt. Colonel, and remained in that position till the end of 
 the war.
