Daigle Valcour Benoit Funeral services were scheduled for this morning from Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay for Valcour J. Benoit, 73, a native and resident of Thibodaux who died Friday at 6:30 p.m. He was the father of Hubert and Francis J. Benoit and Audrey Anne Foret. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward; a sister, Edwina Benoit; and parents, Lydian and Aliska Tabor Benoit. Daigle Edith Freeman Religious services were held from the First Baptist Church of Lockport on Sunday for Edith Grace Greene Freeman, 82, a native of Ruston and a resident of Lafourche Parish for 40 years, who died at 10:45 p.m. Friday. She is survived by her husband, Basil E. Freeman; one son, Eddie Freeman; three daughters, Paula Guidry, Bonnie Miller and Betty Smith; one brother, Lawrence J. Greene; one sister, Willy Charlene Walton; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren. The family requests memorial donations to be made to the building fund of the First Baptist Church in Lockport. Interment was in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. Daigle Sadie Brisco Hogan Funeral services were scheduled for 8 p.m. Tuesday from New Belmont Baptist Church in Labadieville for Sadie Hogan, a native and resident of Labadieville, who died Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption General Hospital. She was the wife of Wilfred Hogan of Thibodaux; and guardian of Shelia Robertson. She was preceded in death by her parents; Julius Brisco and Eva Turner; and two sisters, Mattie Washington and Florence Magee. Dismissal services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday with interment in the church cemetery. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Ida Lear) Mellien; a son, Albert Lear Jr., both of Donaldsonville; a sister, Edwina Aucoin, Carmelite Convent, New Orleans; a brother, Paul G. Aucoin Jr., Thibodaux; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Lear Sr.; her parents; and four sisters. Sellers Jr. and Andrew Parr Sellers and the daughter of Evelyn Babin Parr Cavender of Donaldsonville. She is also survived by five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Nolen Sellers of Alexander City, Ala.; a son, Roy Parr Sellers; and her father, Andrew Joseph Parr of Lockport.
