Elizabeth Paige Cornes
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in 
Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Elizabeth Paige Cornes, age 
10, who passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. The Rev. Bill Melancon, 
pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Elizabeth was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Carencro. She was a 
student at Acadian Middle School.

Survivors include her parents, Christopher Allen Cornes and the former Leslie 
Marie Meaux of Carencro; her paternal grandmother, Charlotte Trahan of 
Carencro; paternal grandfather, David M. Cornes of Baton Rouge, LA; paternal 
grandfather, Michael Ardoin of Carencro; maternal grandparents, Wilton Meaux 
and Nancy Meaux both of New Iberia; two brothers, Nicholas Cornes and David 
Cornes, both of Carencro; one sister, Kristen Cornes of Carencro and her 
godparents, Shawn David and Lauren David.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 
p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University 
Ave., Carencro, (337) 896-3232, is in charge of arrangements.
