Heirs: Ana Landry, his wife; daughter, Maria Josepha Hebert, wife of Antonio Blanchard. January 29, 1800 Order to recognize the will of Joseph Hebert, that the witnesses to the will appear, and also interpreters. Same date Acceptance of the interpreters Franco Rivas certifies that the will was given to him by the wife of Joseph Hebert, Ana Landry Hebert. Will follows, written in French: The year one thousand seven hundred ninety-nine, the nineteenth day of the month of April afternoon. I, Joseph Hebert, resident of the District of Iberville, being sick and finding myself in danger of dying, having full memory and knowledge, I declare by my ordinary mark and in the presence of the witnesses herein named, Joseph Braud, Simon Richard, Joseph Richard, Amant Hebert, Simon Richard Jr., Joseph Henderson and Pierre Duplesi that this is my last will, that Anne Landry, my wife, after my death, might enjoy and use all the property which will be then confirmed to belong to our community without any person being able to prevent her peaceful enjoyment during her lifetime, without being disturbed in any manner that it might be and after her death, the property will be partitioned among the heirs according to the law, and that which might be due to my daughter, Marie Josepha, wife of Antoine Blanchard. I authorize etc. no land described. There will be paid to Genevieve Landry, sum coming to her from the succession of her deceased mother. There will be paid to my daughter, Marguerite sum for that which is due her from the remaining portion of her dowry.
