The Rev. Sherman Beird said Inland Container Corp, an Indianapolis, Inc. - based manufacturer of container board and corrogated containers, is considering locating a plant at sites which have property adjacent to the Kansas City Southern Railroad U.S. Highway 71 and the Red River. According to Joe Areddy, Inland vice president of public affairs, the company is in the "very, very preliminary stages of looking all over that area (east Texas and western Louisiana)" for a site. Plant construction is "four, five or six years" down the road, and what will be produced there has not been determined yet, Areddy said. One of the sites considered is partially within the Montgomery town limits and the other is about three miles south of town, Beird said.
