Allen Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Rolen Allen, 96, of Winnsboro, were Sunday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro with the Rev. Jack Mulkey officiating. Burial was in the Providence Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Allen died Friday night at the Winnsboro Manor Rest Home following a lengthy illness. She was a Winn Parish native. Survivors include three daughters, Arah Johnston, Monroe, Mrs. Lois Adcock, Rayville and Mrs. Ola Riley, Winnsboro; two sons, Henry Allen and Charlie Allen, both of Rayville; 18 grandchildren, a number of great grand-children and a number of great-great grandchildren. ********************************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA February 15, 1973 Submitted by: Glenda Warner boyd Mrs. J. B. Evans Funeral services for Mrs. J. B. Evans, 81, of Winnsboro were incomplete Wednesday, but were under direction of First National Funeral Home here. Foster Funeral services for Mrs. Mary R. Foster, 78, of Winnsboro will be held today at 2 p.m. at Crowville Baptist Church, with Rev. Robert McDonald and Rev. Denver Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Crowville Masonic Cemetery. Mrs. Foster died Wednesday at the Franklin Parish Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Foster was a native of Mississippi. Survivors include three sons, Allen Foster, West Monroe; Alton Foster, Chicago, Ill.; and J. W. Foster, Winnsboro; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Ratcliff, Winnsboro; Mrs. Nancy Ford, Union, Miss.; and Mrs. Ernie Lee LaFontine, Jacksonville, Ark.; two brothers, J. C. Ratcliif, Wesson, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. Josie Crawford, Manifest, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. ******************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA February, 15, 1973 Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd Richard Martin Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First National Funeral Home here for Richard Martin, 85, of Winnsboro, with burial in the Crowville Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Martin died Saturday afternoon at the Winnsboro Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness. He was a native of Winnsboro, a retired farmer and a member of the Crowville Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, J. R. J. Martin Funeral services for T. J. (Junior) Martin, 79, of Winnsboro, were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Boeuf River Baptist Church with the Revs. A. E. Gibson and L. F. LaPrarie officiating. Burial followed with Masonic graveside services at the New Ogden cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home. Mr. Martin died Monday at his residence after a long illness. He was a native of Brookhaven, Miss., and had resided in Franklin Parish for the past 50 years. He was a member of New Hope Lodge No. 328, F&AM, the Columbia Council No. 44, R&SM, the McGuire Chapter No. 58, RAM, and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mae McCarty Martin of Winnsboro; three sons, L. H. (Buck) Martin of Winnsboro, T. J. Martin Jr. of Gilbert and Willie Mac Martin of Delhi; three daughters, Mrs. Mattie Sanders and Miss Susie Bell Martin, both of Wisner, and Mrs. Ruth Milby of Dickinson, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Lula Hemphill of Winnsboro; one step-son, James Everett Butler of Morgan City; one step-daughter, Mrs. Sue Pullens of Metarie; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Southall Funeral services for Henry A. Southall, 68, of Mangham, were incomplete, Tuesday, but were under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Southall died Monday at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Alexandria after a short illness. He was a native of Mangham, a World War II veteran, a retired farmer and member of the Lone Cherry Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anita Boone Southall of Mangham; three sons, Robert Lynn Southall, Thomas D. Southall and Henry A. H. Woods Funeral services for J. H. (Buddy) Woods, 45, of Baskin were at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Baskin Baptist Church with the Revs. Virgil Jones and J. R. Shephard officiating. Burial was at Union Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites, under direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Woods died early Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans after a brief illness. Mr. Woods, a native and merchant of Baskin, was employed by the State Department. He was a World War II veteran, member of Winnsboro Masonic Lodge No. 246, F&AM and deacon at Baskin Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lela Strickland Woods of Baskin; two daughters, Mrs. Vicki Jones of West Monroe and Miss Lori Ann Woods of Baskin; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elzie L. Woods Sr.; two brothers, Bobby Woods and Elzie L. Woods Jr., all of Baskin and one sister, Mrs. Thelma Zeagler of Winnsboro. *************************************************************
