FIRMIN, JOY

   Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. July 14 at Christ the King Catholic
Church, Simmsport, for Joy Firmin, 61, of Waterproof.
   Rev. Jacob Thomas officiated and burial was in Christ the King Catholic
Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday.
   Mrs. Firmin died July 11 at University Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.
   She was a retired postmaster at Waterproof where she served for 18 years.
She resided in Waterproof for 36 years and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi
Catholic Church.
   She was born Aug. 1, 1931 in New Orleans.
