Weekly Press: Fri., 09 Aug. 1907 Typed by Charlie Anderson NEWS ITEMS FROM FENTON The community was shocked here Saturday, a.m., when the word was brought in from the plant where he was at work that Cyprien Savant was dead; he was in town Friday evening and went home, went to bed about 9 o'clock expecting to get up at midnight and take his shift at the engine. His wife heard him make a queer choking noise, spoke to him, lit a light and sent for the doctor; but he was gone and never spoke. He died at 11 o'clock. He was buried at the Hebert cemetery west of here Sunday. Prien was a great favorite with all who knew him and had a pleasant word for all. The bereaved wife has the sympathy of all friends and neighbors. _______________________________________________________ SAVANT, Daniel Thomas LCAP: Sun., 18 June 1995 Typed and annotated by Charlie Anderson Daniel Thomas was the son of John Alvin, the son of Auklin, the son of Jean Batiste Eucher, the son of Onile, the son of Antoine Orther Savant.
