------------------------------------------------------------ OBIT: Lou Ella BUCHANAN, 2002, Mercer Co. ------------------------------------------------------------ From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 29 Mar 2002 HARRODSBURG -- Services for Lou Ella Trisler Buchanan, 93, Greenwood Drive will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Donnie Releford. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. She died Wednesday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born May 4, 1908, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Ella Mae Leathers Trisler. She was a homemaker, a member of Dry Branch Baptist Church, the Mercer County Chorus and a lifetime member of the Homemakers Club. She was the widow of Walker Buchanan. Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Anness of Harrodsburg, Nancy Baker of Lawrenceburg, and Janet Thacker of Burgin; two sons, George Buchanan and William Buchanan, both of Harrodsburg; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granchild. Pallbearers will be Paul Horne, Glenn Lake, Perry Buchanan, Cecil Buchanan, Steve Horn, Bob Hronek and Jeremy Thacker. Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
