MAGOFFIN COUNTY — Brandon Michael Shepherd, 22, of Gapville, 
died Tuesday, Jan. 20, at U.K. Medical Center, Lexington.

Born Oct. 4, 1981, in Pike County, he was a son Michael Brent Shepherd 
and Judy Allen Meece. He was a factory worker and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dallas Shepherd; 
and paternal grandfather, H. J. Allen.

Additional survivors include his stepfather, Eddie Meece; paternal 
grandmother, Georgia Brown; maternal grandmother, Marcella Allen; a 
brother, Brian Shepherd of Gapville, step-brother, Jesse Allen Meece of 
Paintsville; and a step-sister, Heather Lynn Meece of Paintsville.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 23, at Magoffin 
County Funeral Home Chapel, Salyersville, with Gary Ferguson officiating. 
Burial will be in Allen-Wireman Cemetery, Gapville, under direction of 
Magoffin County Funeral Home.
