Arterberry, the twenty-three-year old son of Mr. J. F. Arterberry, of this place, died at the home of his father on East Main Street at one o'clock last Wednesday aternoon after a brief illness of three weeks. He had been afflicted for many years with heart trouble, but his condition never grew alarming until a few days ago when he was seized with a violent attack of La Grippe which hastened the end." "He was popular in social circles, being a member of the Tompkinsville High School Band as well as other student organizations." "Funeral services were held at the Christian church Thursday afternoon by the Rev. F. E. Peden. The active pallbearers were Jamed D York, Clinton Gentry, Reed Smith, Jesse York, Quinton Johnson and Harold Walden. Honorary pallbears were Clyde Copass, James T. Evans, Benton Jenkins, Clinton Andrews, Ezra Maines, Tom Finley, James Chism and Raymond Rush."
