Elsie V. Whetstone, 81, died Saturday July 30, 2005, at the Odessey Hospice in
Amarillo, Texas.  She was born April 15, 1924, to Oscar M. and Violet Jackson
Olson in Bucklin. She married Robert Schupman Aug. 2, 1942. He preceded her in
death. She later married Robert D. Whetstone Dec. 20, 1965, in Clayton, N.M. He
survives. She worked in several cafe's, Blue Goose, Coffee Cup, Kansan Cafe and
the Western-Ho Motel for many year. She was a member of the South Church of God
in Liberal. Other survivors include, two sons, Buster Schupman and wife Jackie,
Guymon, Okla., Leroy Whetstone and wife Gloria, Buffalo, Okla.; four daughters,
Dorothy Garrett and husband Richard, Jacksonville, Fla., Marilyn Kraich and
husband Randy, Bay Breeze, Ala., Sheila Benear and companion Richard Taylor,
Surprise, Ariz., Diane Fogler, Meade, Okla.; 18 grandchildren; 26
great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Oscar Olson and
wife Dorothy, Liberal; and five sisters, Kathryn Wyche, Guymon, Okla., Rachel
Harvill, Jacinto, Calif., Marlene Jepson, Leavenworth, Josephine Briggs, Las
Cruses, N.M., and Gerogia Linbald, Paulsvo, Wash. She was also preceded in death
by her parents; one brother; two sisters; and two sons. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Miller Chapel, with Carl Richard
presiding. Burial will be in the Liberal Cemetery
