Death:  1/20/2005 	

Jewell B. Hazelton, 74, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, in Liberal. She was born
Nov. 2, 1930, to Claude and Edith Price Jones in Galena. She married Jeff
Hazelton June 19, 1948, in Joplin, Mo. He survives. She was an aide at the Kitch
Nursing Home for several years. She later worked in the meat department of both
North and South Ideal Foods and Jack & Jill. She was a Red Hat Lady. Other
survivors include two daughters, Becky Naab and husband Kim, Liberal, and Jeanie
Long and husband Bruce, Bella Vista, Ark.; five grandchildren, Shannon
Gearheart, Tina Monroe, Tara Grant, Rodney Hazelton and Erin Long; 10
great-grandchildren, Bailey and Macenzie Grant, Sydney, Kody and Katlyn
Gearheart, Alex and Nicki Hazelton, Courtney Taylor and Jeffery and Bryce Minor;
one brother, Everette Jones, Tri-City, Wash.; and seven sisters, Eva Lee
Barwick, Faye Bogue and Anna Lovelace, all of Joplin, Mo., Helen Smith,
Centralia, Wash., Ida Vallo and Nancy Browning, both of Pendleton, Ore., and
Eddie Worley, Portland, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents, three
brothers, two sons, Richard and Rodney Hazelton, two grandsons, T.J. Long and
Gordon Monroe, and one granddaughter, Sarah Long. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Miller Chapel. Burial will be in
Liberal Cemetery
