Garrett Dies in Colo. Homesteaded near Floris, Okla., a Number of Years Ago. W.T. GARRETT, age 70, passed away in the hospital at Springfield, Colo., at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, January 29. Mr. Garrett's two sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Garrett and Mr. and Mrs. Hansford Garrett, left Wednesday for Springfield, and his two daughters, Mrs. Ola HEATON and Mrs. Jesse BUCHANAN and her daughter Betty Jane, left Thursday morning. Mr. Garrett homesteaded near Floris, Okla., a number of years ago. The family then moved to Hooker, Okla., and in 1929 moved to Campo, Colo. Two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Garrett moved to Springfield which has since been their home. Mr. Garrett is survived by his wife and nine sons and daughters: Mrs. Jesse BUCHANAN, Mrs. Ola HEATON, Virgil and Hansford Garrett, all of Liberal; MRs. Tom STAPLETON, of Wichita; Mrs. Everett LANCASTER, Huntington, Ind.; Horace Garrett, Miami, Fla.; Mrs. H.G. KEETER, of Tucumcari, N.M.; Mrs. Edwin MOORE of Miami, Fla. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. S.C. HINDS, of Dill, Okla. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church in Springfield, Colo., at 10 o'clock Friday morning and interment will be made in the Liberal cemetery.
