Riddle Dies Today. Sycamore Resident Had Been Ill a Month. Alvin James RIDDLE, 51, a resident of Sycamore, died this morning at 6:30 at his home, following a month's illnes. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. The body is at the Rodrick Funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Doris; a daughter, Joyce, a son, James, and a step-son, Bobby Edwards of the home. He also leaves a half brother, Ira LETT of Tulsa, and a half sister, Mrs. Margaret THOMAS of Sycamore. Mr. Riddle was born March 21, 1892 at Chelsea, Okla., where he grew to manhood. He came to Kansas and was a farmer in the Sycamore vicinity until 1930 when he went to Kansas City, Kas., where he worked as a mechanic. His marriage to Doris ISHMEL took place in Kansas City, September 17, 1930. He returned to Sycamore a year ago, and had been employed here at the army air base.
