W. Major, aged 24 years. Mr. Major has been sick for several months with cancer of the stomach. He was taken sick in South Dakota and has been bedfast since last January. His father-in-law, B. Meador, brought him here in March and he was very weak there. The time of the funeral has not yet been decided upon. The funeral of Edward W. Major was held this afternoon and his body was laid to rest in Belle vista. Major was born at Iowa Falls about 26 years ago. He came to El Dorado in March, 1900, and was married to Miss Jessie Meador, daughter of B. Meador, March 26, 1902. To benefit his health he went to South Dakota, only to be brought back by his father-in-law to die June 4 from cancer of the stomach, after long, long suffering. His wife and baby boy survive and mourn him.
