She had lived here many years and never made an enemy. She was a kind hearted neighbor, loving wife and mother and a thorough Christian. Her husband and five children survive her. Mrs. A. Lancer, Mrs. Jack Major of Benton; Peter and Miss Lucy Poorbaugh and Ross Poorbaugh of Oklahoma. The Walnut Valley Times April 22, 1904 Died at her home north of Towanda, Thursday evening April 14 of heart disease. Mrs. Hager aged 64 years. She was a pioneer of Butler County. She has been married twice and leaves five children, two daughters and three sons. The funeral will be held at the Christian Church on Sunday morning at 10:30. Interment will be held in Towanda Cemetery.
