Upon this he resided until 1873, when he purchased sixty acres in Section 5, Cicero Township, which he now makes his home. Of the 100 acres which he now owns, about seventy-two acres are under cultivation and well drained. He was married, November 20, 1853, to Miss Sarah Miller, of Wayne County. The issue of their marriage consists of five children, namely, Alice, William H., Jacob, Walter and Eva. Politically, he is of the Democratic persuasion.
