May 10, 1852  Application for Naturalization

I Peter F Sunier am an alien do make the following report of my self to
wit I am a native of the canton of Bern in Switzerland born on or about the
11th day of February A.D. 1796 I emigrated from the city of Havre in France
on the day of June A.D. 1837 and arrived at the prt of New York in the United
States of America on the   day of August A.D. 1837 and owe my allegiance to
the Republic of Switzerland and I do solemnly swear that it is bona fide my
intention to become a citizen of the United States of America and of the
State of Indiana and do renounce and abjure forever all allegiance and
fidelity to any foreign Prince Potentate State or Sovereignty whatever and
more particularly to the Republic of Switzerland Subscribed and Sworn to
before me this 10th day of May 1852 Peter F Sunier sns
