Rosalie Graves
Services for Rosalie T. Graves, 94, Pocahontas, Ark., formerly of Rock Island, 
are 11 a.m. Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island.

Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island. A 
rosary will be recited at 7:30. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 
Rock Island, or Alleman High School, Rock Island.

Mrs. Graves died Monday, June 24, 1991, at Randolph County Medical Center, 
Pocahontas.

The former Rosalie Baur was born June25, 1896, in Durand, Wis., the daughter 
of Frank and Catherine Lieffring Baur. She Married Samuel Graves June 29, 
1920, in Durand, Wis. He died in 1939

After her husband’s death, she operated the former Long View Pharmacy, which 
he had managed, for 10 years in Rock Island.

She was a former member of St. Joseph Church, Rock Island.

Survivors include daughters, Mary Rosalie Cross, Rock Island, Therese Dahl, 
Tracy, Calif., Jean Ransom, Los Gatos, Calif., Patricia Green, Pocahontas, and 
Roberta White, Port Orchard, Wash.; sons the Rev. Joseph Graves, Junction 
City, Kan., and Edward Graves, Ukiah, Calif.; 55 grandchildren; 100 great-
grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister Esther Baur, Eau 
Claire, Wis.
