The Paxton [IL] Weekly Record June 6, 1872
Charles Dunning and James Kennedy, now in the penitentiary, where they were 
sent from Jacksonville, Ill., for swindling, are believed to be the murderers 
of Hon. Sharon Tyndale, a year ago. Detectives, who have been investigating 
the matter ever since the murder, are confident that they have traced the 
crime to these men.
