In the name of God Amen
I,   Stephen Heinnch Bremer, of the County of Massac, and State of Illinois,
being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this 
fraile and transitory life, and the certainty of death, do therefore make, 
ordain, publish, and declare, this to be my last will and testament;
That is to say,

First, after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged the residue of my 
estate real, and personal, I give bequeath, dispose, of as follows,(To Wit);

To my beloved wife Johanne Bremer, the land and appertanances, known and
described as follows, to Wit; The West half of the North West Quarter of 
section, numbered thirty two (32) in Township, number Fourteen (14) South 
of ramge number five (5), East of the third principle meridian containing
eighty (80) acres. Said land is situated in Massac County, and State of 
Illinois. I furthermore will and ordain my beloved wife Johanne Bremer my 
only and universal ? heir. And that she have unconditional control of all
my lands, tenements, rents, issues, profits, and accounts which may be due
me, and that she have absolute and unconditional power to dispose of and do
with my estate both real and personal as she may desire without any 
constraint whatever.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed my seal, 
the 29th day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand and Eight
Hundred and Sixty two

The above written instrument was, Subscribed by the said ,Stephen Heinnich
Bremer, in our presence and acknowledged by him to each of us, and he at 
the same time published ,and declared, the above instrument so subscribed
to be his last will and testament. And we at the testator's request and in
his presence have signed our names as witnesses hereto and written oposite 
our names our respective place of residence.
