Obit of Agnes Benge Cargal Ink has faded where date was written, but I believe it is Dec 13, 1959 (?). Newspaper unknown Mrs. Agnes Benge Cargal, 71, who lived at 1114 Washington Avenue in Johnston City, died at 5 pm Thursday in Hot Springs Ark., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.H. Leach, where she had been visiting two months. Born in Alabama, Mrs. Cargal had lived in Johnston City 40 years. She is also survived by another daughter, Mrs. Sarah Goocher, Redwood City, Calif.; two sons, Andrew Benge and Joe Cargal of Johnston City; a brother John Smith, Stritz; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lammert, Hammet, Ala., and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday at the Murman-Wilson funeral home in Johnston City, with Rev. Harold Smith, pastor of the Washington Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview cemetery, east of Johnston city. The body is lying in state at the funeral home.
