Bird and Sally Ann Boatright (Note:  Althought this document if from Kentucky, these two people moved to Clark Co, IL.)   Know all men by these present that we Nathaniel H. Bird and Alex A Boatright are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky, in the just __ sum of Fifty Pounds, current money, to the payment of which we bind ourselves, our heirs, &c, jointly and severally, by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated this 21 day of July 1851.   The Condition of the above obligation is such, that whereons, there is a Marriage shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Nathaniel H. Bird and Sally Ann Boatright of Madison County:  Now if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the same, then this obligation to be void, else to remain in force and virtue. Teste:  S. V. Rowland, D.
