He was playing with some children in his yard when he became faint. He leaned against the fence for a moment and then entered the house. His wife assisted him to a chair where he expired without a struggle. A physician was summoned and he pronounced it a case of heart failure. The deceased left a wife and four children and as they were in poor circumstances, Frank Tingley circulated a subscription paper and received cash donations amounting to over $25. A part of this was used to purchase a burial lot and pay for digging a grave and the rest was given to the family who are very thankful for the liberal donations. The funeral was conducted at the house at 10 o'clock this forenoon by Rev. H. W. Huston. Jesse Letz was a quiet, unassuming fellow. For several years he has worked for F. R. Neal who subscribed very liberally to the fund for the family and also paid to have funeral notices printed. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.org/il/clark/obits/l/jlentz.txt File size: 2 Kb
