The issude of this marriage were three sons and two daughters.  The youngest child, Edward, died in 1888 at the age of -- years.  The children living are Mrs. Leonard Walker and Mrs. Charles Prevo of West Union, William W. of Oliver and Sol of Marshall.  There are only three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Handy's death came on the morning of September 17, 1921.  It was not unexpected but resulted after a gradual decline lasting many months.  The devoted attention and care given her by her daughters had prolonged her life for years after she had lived her allotted time. At a revival meeting conducted in the old log school house in Liberty district in Melrose township in 1855, our subject was converted and united with the Methodist Protestant church in which organization she remained a faithful member until death. There are three wonderful words--Christian, wife, mother--that tell the story of her life. Funeral services were conducted at her home sunday evening by Rev. C. S. Thomas of Marshall.  Burial was in the York cemetery. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.org/il/clark/obits/h/sjhhandy.txt File size: 2 Kb
