Obituary of Edward Francis Gard

23 December 1908

Robinson (IL) Argus


Edward Francis Gard was born August 4, 1871, in Melrose township,
Clark county, Illinois, and died suddenly from some unknown cause,
in this city, December 16, 1908, aged 37 years, 4 months and 12
days.

April 6, 1880, he and Miss Mary Cowden were united in marriage, in
Melrose township, Clark county, Ill.  To this union one son, Garnet,
was born, now aged about 17 years.

Deceased with his family resided at Martinsville and Marshall before
coming to this city, July 3, 1907, and lived here since that time.
Beside the widow and son deceased is survived by an aged mother, one
sister, and three brothers.

A short service was held at the residence in this city Thursday,
after which the remains were taken to the Ohio cemetery in Clark
county for interment.
